I always loved audio and video editing. Earlier in my life, when I was only 12 years old, I already had the dream of having my own band to produce music videos and songs. I was lucky enough to have an old tape recorder which opened my path into audio mixing. When I was 17, I started recording and mixing bands for a local music studio and did not take too long until I already had my own audio recording and mixing freelancing business.

The passion for video editing came in my early 20’s when I decided to make a few short videos for myself. The results were not great, but people around me seemed to be more aware of my potential than I actually was, so I decided to learn more about how to record things properly. A couple of weeks later, I added video editing as one of my freelancing services and started editing events such as conferences, weddings and concerts.

Everything happened naturally fast. Animation skills also came through and that was just a matter of time until I reach higher levels of video editing proficiency. The colourist career started much later when I could finally understand and appreciate how important the colourist work is and how much that means for the final product.

I felt like a had found a new universe. I started looking for more information regarding colour science, the psychological aspect of each one of them and how to properly adjust and use them on a video. The whole thing felt really natural straight from the beginning and my passion for it made the learning process pretty smooth.

Sometimes my friends just wonder how can I be so hooked on those things, sometimes spending hours and hours working on projects and still feel so happy and full of energy to do so many other things. I just think that it is all about doing what makes you feel happy. I have been always trying to make the most of whatever I do and when it comes to colour grading I really don’t feel like it is a thing that will ever make me feel tired, or bored. I just love it.
